SSL Certificate Validation
Although we strongly recommend that certificate requests be placed well in advance of when you need the certificate, we understand that isn't always possible.
It is easy to say "We treat every order as though it is our highest priority", but the fact of the matter is that our average certificate issuance time is about half an hour. That means the moment your order comes in, our team starts making phone calls, checking government databases, and doing internal and external phishing and fraud checks.
Almost without exception, when a certificate is not issued within an hour, our team has contacted or attempted to contact the individual who placed the order to let them know what it is that we need before we can issue the certificate.
In almost every case, we have finished the organizational validation procedures, and are waiting for the customer to complete the necessary domain validation. That means our customers are getting High Assurance SSL Certificates at the same speed as Domain Validated SSL certificates.

Extended Validation Process
The issuance of extended validation certificates follows a series of rigid guidelines that incorporate, every step of the way, what needs to be done and how it can be done.
Because some of the validation requirements involve getting specific documents signed by certain people, the validation procedure for EV may often take more time than the validation procedure for our standard SSL certificates, although this is often in the hands of the people who need to sign those documents, and not necessarily something our validation staff can speed up or improve.
However, working in tandem with our customers, EV certificates can often be issued in a matter of a few hours.
That being said, with EV certificate requests, as will all certificate requests, we strongly recommend that orders be placed as far in advance of actual need as is at all possible, often a week or more.
