DigiCert is one of the largest and fastest growing Certificate Authorities in the world. In October 2017, we completed a $950 million acquisition of a division of Symantec. This acquisition has expanded our global footprint, adding some exciting and challenging new complexity to our accounting and finance operations. We are seeking top talent for this newly created role of International Accounting Manager. This person will play an important role in developing our international accounting organization, managing accounting processes, and liaising with our global DigiCert teams and third-party service providers throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. This position will work closely with and report to the International Controller at our recently constructed Lehi, Utah headquarters.

Job Task Description:

Understand our international organization and related reporting requirements of the various entities, including researching nuances in local GAAP and statutory compliance

Participate in the month-end close process through preparation and/or review of accounting entries and reporting for our international entities

Prepare monthly financial statement variance analysis and provide management with explanations for fluctuations in account balances vs. prior periods, budget and forecasts

Ensure the accuracy of the monthly consolidation of international operations with our US parent

Assist with reconciliation of intercompany balances in the international entities, including researching, preparing and recording any necessary adjustments

Communicate with international teams and support the accounting and finance processes

Liaise with third-party service providers to facilitate efficient and accurate preparation of our month-end and statutory reporting

Facilitate and manage requests from audit teams to ensure timely support to audit requests and inquiries

Perform and/or manage ad-hoc projects, as requested

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate in this role has the following education and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree a plus

CPA highly preferred

4+ years of experience

Public Accounting experience, preferably with exposure to multi-national companies

Industry experience involving international consolidations, foreign currency, I/C eliminations

Experience with statutory reporting

Experience with NetSuite or a major ERP product

Strong computer skills are necessary, including Excel.

Highly organized and great at tracking and meeting deadlines

Well-developed GAAP knowledge, including consolidation principles; research skill

Excellent skill with Excel and other common computer applications

Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management.

Ability to work independently.

Willing and able to travel internationally as necessary (estimated travel up to 10%)
