Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
This role is for an experienced data analyst with business analytics experience to conduct exploratory and predictive analytics, analyzing financial data, customer/partner behavior and support our business partners, using a combination of descriptive statistics, segmentation techniques, and predictive modeling to inform business decisions. The role will encompass:
Analysis and interpretation of business metrics to identify cause and effect relationships between business activities and financial outcomes, and optimize sales
Computation of customer/partner performance metrics leveraging techniques such as segmentation, retention, churn, attrition and lifetime value
Prospect analysis including modeling for targeting prioritization and propensity models
Building dashboards, preparing reports, conducting ad hoc analysis as needed
Ability to work with multiple data sources, data management and data cleansing
Master’s in Economics, Computer Science, or Statistics , with a strong qualitative and analytical focus
4-6 years’ work experience: business analytics, predictive modeling, econometric modeling
Ability to communicate the results of analyses verbally and visually to influence marketing and product strategy
Good analytical and problem solving skills, ability to think independently, manage projects without supervision
Good understanding of databases and data warehouse fundamentals, extract and manipulate data
Flexibility to learn new skills quickly and understand the business and industry
Experience in SQL, PL/SQL or other programming languages with an understanding of analytical concepts (dimensions, facts, normalization, joins, querying & grouping, SQL syntax, etc.)
Experience in any scripting language (Python, Perl, etc.)
Experience with statistical software (ex. R) to conduct statistical analyses (regression, multivariate testing, segmentation)
Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting software and ability to build dashboards (Tableau, Domo, Qlik)
Experience with MS Office Suite for data presentation and documentation
Ability to work as a team member, interact with individuals at different levels in the organization
