Changes to the Direct Cert Portal for April 27, 2015

Client Certificate

DigiCert continues to improve and enhance the Direct Cert Portal. On April 27, 2015, you will notice some changes to your Direct Cert Portal experience. Below is a list of some of the changes that we plan to make to the Portal along with a brief description of what each change addresses.

Contact Info and Authorization Workflow Changes

We have changed the flow of the Contact Info and Authorization page. The Contact Info and Authorization process now consists of two steps.

  1. Step 1: Upload Your Declaration Of Identity

    • The first thing you are required to do is upload a declaration of identity.

    • You cannot proceed to Step 2 until you have successfully uploaded your declaration of identity to the Direct Cert Portal.

  2. Step 2: Contact Information

    • If we are missing any contact information, we will display those fields so that you can provide us with that information.

    • If we have all your contact information, you will see a green checkmark next to Step 2.

HCO (Health Care Organization) Name Constraint Change

No longer required to give each HCO a unique name for each location or business unit.

Some healthcare organizations have the same HCO name for multiple locations/business units. With this change, you can now use the same name for multiple locations/business units.

CSV Import Changes

  1. Can include domain name in the CSV when importing an HCO.

CSV Import failed if the CSV included the domain name when importing an HCO. Some organizations have the domain names included in the CSV that they use when importing an HCO.

With this change, you can include the domain name in the CSV that you import.

  2. Can import CSV with custom fields when importing an HCO.

Some organization have additional fields in the CSV that they use when importing an HCO.

With this change, you can include additional fields in the CSV that you import. These additional fields are stored in custom fields.
