Q: As a current DigiCert customer will I be able to upgrade my certificates to DigiCert Secure Site SSL?
A: We will offer pro-rated refunds for customers who have existing certificate that want to upgrade to the Secure Site SSL product. Customers will have to order a new Secure Site certificate and reinstall. This can be done by contacting DigiCert support.
Q: On which certificate platform will DigiCert Secure Site SSL be available?
A: You will be able to initially order a Secure Site certificate from the DigiCert website (https://www.digicert.com/secure-site-ssl/ev-ssl/). When you complete the order process you will receive a CertCentral account which you will use to receive, manage, and order additional Secure Site certificates. The CertCentral account will provide you with access to 3 of the four benefits: 1- priority validation, 2- priority support, and 3- the two premium site seals.
Q: If I currently have Symantec Secure Site SSL products will I be able to transfer them over to DigiCert Secure Site SSL now?
A: Not now, but we will give you an option to upgrade to CertCentral the future.
Q: If I do transfer over my Symantec Secure Site SSL product to DigiCert Secure Site SSL will I continue with my current certificate expiration date?
A: Yes, if you transfer over your current Secure Site licenses to DigiCert Secure Site SSL you will continue with your current certificate term and renew each license on their current schedules.
Q: As a Symantec Secure Site customer, if I switch to DigiCert Secure Site SSL will I be able to keep my current sales account manager?
A: Yes, DigiCert recognizes how important the relationship between you and your sales account manager is.
Q: As a Symantec Secure Site or Secure Site Pro customer, will all the features I have in my current product be available in the DigiCert Secure Site SSL product?
A: All the features you enjoy with your Symantec Secure Site products will be available in DigiCert’s Secure Site SSL product plus some additional NEW premium features with one exception. The Blacklist feature entitlement in Symantec Secure Site products will not be available at time of launch, but will be added to the product at a later date. Q: If I do switch from a Symantec Secure Site to DigiCert Secure Site SSL will I have to pay more since I will be receiving new certificate features and an enhanced, modern certificate console - Cert Central?
A: No, you will not have to pay more for moving your current Symantec Secure Site products to DigiCert Secure Site SSL regardless of the additional features.
Q: What languages will DigiCert Secure Site SSL Certificate be available in?
A: currently this product will only be available in English.
Q: In what Countries will DigiCert Secure Site SSL be available for purchase?
A: DigiCert Secure Site SSL will be sold everywhere the DigiCert branded SSL products are available.
Q: When I purchase DigiCert Secure Site SSL how will I be able contact priority support?
A: The priority support contact information will be in your CertCentral certificate management console.
Q: Is the DigiCert Secure Site SSL signed off a unique root hierarchy? (Will there be a unique intermediary certificate?)
A: No, DigiCert Secure Site SSL will be on the same hierarchy as DigiCert Standard SSL.
Q: Will DigiCert Secure Site SSL be available in both RSA and ECC algorithm?
Q: Will DigiCert Secure Site SSL support all the different ECC key sizes? (256 and 384)?
A: It will support ECC 256 and 384.
Q: What are the hours of operation for the priority support queue?
A: 24/7, Secure Site customers will have a dedicated contact number that will ring to our on-call Secure Site group for emergency support any time.
Q: What are the hours of operation for the priority validation queue?
A: 24/5, however we will have a crew working the weekends.
Q: What is the SLA of operation for the priority support queue?
A: There is no SLA tied to priority support. DigiCert provides industry leading support as it is, and we are not able to commit to a standard SLA at this time. We will prioritize Secure Site support cases above other inbound support and will work support cases as soon as possible.
Q: What is the SLA of the priority validation queue per product?
A: There is no SLA tied to priority validation. DigiCert provides industry leading validation times as it is, and we are not able to commit to a standard SLA at this time. We will prioritize Secure Site validation above non-Secure Site products and will validate orders as soon as possible.
